Kapasseni Mission Work
Funds Sent in 2015
All the funds we had on hand were sent in June 2015 and were used to finish the training sessions for the 8 Candidates and pay the in country costs for the trainers. Pastor Joseph was able to go for 6 weeks and we will be doing a newsletter soon with updates and pictures of the Ordination. Any donations received by the Kapasseni Project before September 2015 will be sent to the Concordia Lutheran Church of Mozambique to administer for the church.
An agreement was signed by all partners in the training of pastors in Mozambique outlining each groups responsibilities. The Kapasseni Project will continue in 2014 until Aug 2015 to provide a monthly honorarium for the 8 TEE students so they can have enough food to eat, help with transportation costs to attend their training meetings monthly, rental space for the meetings and a place for them to stay overnight. These basic needs are covered with your generous donations as well as the yearly in country costs for training.
We have used all the grant funds donated for training costs in 2014 and will need more donations to continue this assistance especially for the training session and ordination in 2015. We would also like to raise funds to send Pastor Alfazema to the ordination in August.
Twenty more students would like to take the next TEE course and that would really expand the ministry. This will only be possible with your help. If you wish to send funds through your own church or LWML group, that is also possible. Contact us for more information.
