Pastor Andre Plamer

An outreach was made in 2012 to Pastors in Brazil to look for a mission Pastor to go to Mozambique and continue the work that had been started with Pastor Alfazema and the lay Pastors. Brazil is a Portuguese speaking country as is Mozambique and this will be helpful to continue the training of the 8 students. Pastor Andre Plamer indicated his willingness to go to Mozambique and he participated in the training session in September 2013. He met with the TEE students and went to the worship service in Murrema with 82 people attending and 28 people were baptized. He also went to Mpango with 104 people attended the service and there were 29 baptisms. While Pastor Andre was there in September, the small catechism was studied and translated will be printed through the Lutheran Heritage Foundation. Pastor Andre travelled to Mozambique for another training session in August 2014 and July 2015.

Pastor Andre baptized many adults and children while he visited Mozambique in Sept  2013,
Pastor Andre was given a chicken after the worship service in Mpango.

Pastor Andre provided the last training session in July and prepared the candidates for the Graduation and Ordination on August 9,2015.

The publication of the Small Catechism in the Chisena language is completed. Pastor Andre started the translation of the Luther’s Small Catechism into the Sena language in 2013. Then a translator was hired, Abel Sifa (brother of Mateus, one of the new pastors). He translated the Catechism and submitted it to the students/pastors for revision. The translation was evaluated according to understanding and style and is being used to teach church members. Now, the Editora Concórdia (Brazilian CPH) has published it.
